PTS3 Micro Focus Mitts

The Hayabusa PTS3 Micro Focus Mitts are small, fast and extremely satisfying to use. Land cleanly and they produce a beautiful pop. Miss the centre and they immediately expose your accuracy which is rude, but fair.

Their compact size makes them perfect for sharpening combinations, timing and precision without giving the fighter a target the size of a satellite dish. They’re also incredibly light, allowing the pad holder to move quickly, change angles and run longer combinations without their shoulders filing a formal complaint.

Despite their size, the padding and built-in air pocket absorb impact surprisingly well. The hand compartment feels secure, the wrist support is excellent and they remain comfortable during longer sessions. They also feel like they can handle regular use without falling apart after meeting one enthusiastic heavyweight.

The downside is that these are specialist mitts. Their smaller surface makes them less forgiving for beginners, and although they handle power well, I wouldn’t choose them solely for endless full-power combinations.

Overall, they’re excellent for coaches and experienced training partners who prioritise speed, accuracy and technical pad work. They make clean punches feel fantastic and inaccurate ones feel personally embarrassing, which is exactly what good focus mitts should do.
