FAIRFAX, VA: KOREAN ZOMBIE vs. POIRIER
Igor ‘The Duke’ Pokrajac has been around MMA for a very long time. Pokrajac was first introduced to the sport when he was asked to help Mirko Cro Cop improve his wrestling skills. Igor, who lives and trains in Zagreb Croatia, fell in love with the sport and in a few short years turned pro. Pokrajac has amassed a 24-8 record with 14 (T)KOs and 8 submissions and has finished his last two fights in the opening round. ‘The Duke’ is looking to make it three in a row, but standing in his way is Fabio Maldonado. Maldonado, a product of team Nogueira, has a great techincal boxing skill set and a solid ground game, but will have to be at his best against Pokrajac. Igor has incredible cardio, great wrestling, devastating striking and some slick submissions. Igor ‘The Duke’ Pokrajac is excited to once again train and compete in Hayabusa. When he fights on May 15th, Igor will be showing his national pride by sporting the Croatian colors. Hayabusa is expecting a great fight from Igor ‘The Duke’ Pokrajac and is excited to see him debut the new Haburi™ Croatian Compression Shorts.
Jason "The Athlete" MacDonaldJason ‘The Athlete’ MacDonald is a Canadian middleweight standout. Jason has competed a dozen times in the UFC and always brings the fight to his opponents. MacDonald, a grappling ace, has 19 wins by submission, but is always willing to show off his ever improving striking skills. ‘The Athlete’ nickname is fitting, as his cardio and conditioning are incredible, but he also earned another name ‘The TUF killer’ with notable wins over TUF alumni Ed Herman, Chris Leben, Solomon Hutcherson, and Rory Singer. Jason, a former correctional officer, is now a full time professional MMA fighter and wants to get back to his winning ways after suffering a first round submission loss to Alan Belcher. ‘The Athlete’ has a tough challenge ahead, as he takes on ‘Filthy’ Tom Lawlor, who is known for strange weigh in antics and flashy ring entrances. Jason ‘The Athlete’ MacDonald is excited to get back into the Octagon and prove that he belongs at the top of the UFC’s 185 lb. division. Hayabusa is proud to partner with MacDonald and looks forward to another exciting fight.
Hayabusa would also like to wish Yves ‘Tiger’ Jabouin, Kamal ‘Prince of Persia` Shalorus, Jeff ‘Big Frog’ Curran, Brad Tavares, Cody McKenzie, and Francisco ‘Cisco’ Rivera the best of luck in their upcoming bouts. Hayabusa is proud to partner with these amazing fighters and looks forward to a great fight card.
