September 3rd, 2013 - Hayabusa® is proud to welcome world-renowned mix martial artist and brand new UFC Lightweight Champion, Anthony “Showtime” Pettis to the continuously growing roster of elite combat athletes.
Anthony Pettis or “Showtime” currently competes in the lightweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and is ranked as the number one lightweight in the world by the UFC, winning 17 out of 19 fights.
Pettis started his professional MMA career in 2007 with the Gladiators Fighting Series organization. From there he went on to win the final World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) lightweight title in 2010 via unanimous decision against Benson Henderson before the organization dissolved into the UFC.
Recently at UFC 164, Pettis defeated Henderson for the second time via a first round armbar, which earned him the UFC Lightweight Championship title.
His unique and entertaining fighting style has become a must see fan favourite and an explosive spectacle inside the octagon.
